<description>Speaking of cupcakes, here is a blog post by a Kiva.org volunteer in Managua, Nicaragua, Whitney, who recently wrote about her experience translating an interview between Freddy Castillo Luna, an entreprenuer and owner of a cupcake store, and a lender, journalist Joel Stein of Time Magazine.

I like Whitney&#039;s version of the interview better than Joel&#039;s written piece for Time.

I encourage other Savoring Kentucky readers to check out Kiva.org. It is a terrific microfinance lending organization and the gift certificates would make for a more meaningful white elephant gift and conversation starter than in years past. And it follows in the true spirit of this time of year.
