The Holly Hill Inn Wine Guild hosts monthly tastings and discussions based on various themes.  Guild director, Steve Mancuso, just announced his topics and schedule (see below) for 2012, entitled: The Grape Debates! Scroll down to see each month’s Grape Debate topics. Please note: Often there are multiple seatings, beginning at 6 PM. Email Guildmaster Steve Mancuso to learn details. steve@hollyhillinn.com

Upcoming topics include: Is the Pinot Noir from California better than that from Oregon?  Should Chardonnay be oaked?  Which of the famed regions of Bordeaux and Burgundy is best?  What is the tastiest red wine from Spain?  Do old vines really make a difference in the taste of Zinfandel?  What country makes the best Sauvignon Blanc?

There are no right answers to these questions, of course; they are matters of personal taste.  The enjoyment and reward is in the tasting and discussion as the Wine Guild members work toward their own conclusions, at least until the next swallow changes their minds!

Please join the Wine Guild in 2012 as they taste their way through some of the many difficult (and delicious) disputes in the world of wine. Below you will find the schedule and topics for The Grape Debates so you can save the dates on your calendar right now.  To make reservations for any of The Grape Debates, please email Steve Mancuso at steve@hollyhillinn.com.

We’re also introducing our new Gift Card program where you can purchase admission to The Grape Debates for yourself or others.  See details below.
